6-Day Samburu, Ol Pejeta Adventure

Depart Nairobi early and journey north through scenic highlands toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and relax after the long drive. In the late afternoon, enjoy your first game drive where you might spot elephants, lions, and the unique “Samburu Special Five.”

Spend the day exploring Samburu’s rugged terrain and Ewaso Nyiro River. Look out for Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk. Between drives, relax at your lodge and take in the breathtaking views of the wilderness.

Begin the morning with a relaxed breakfast, followed by a visit to a Samburu cultural village to learn about traditional customs, attire, and lifestyle. Return to your lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the pool or an optional evening game drive.

After breakfast, drive south to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located near Nanyuki, with a brief stop at the equator. Arrive for lunch and later enjoy a game drive through the conservancy, home to black rhinos, chimpanzees, and abundant wildlife.

Spend the day exploring Ol Pejeta. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, and the protected area of the last two northern white rhinos. Afternoon game drive offers a chance to see lions, elephants, and buffalo in their natural habitat.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before beginning your drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon with memories of Kenya’s diverse landscapes and wildlife.
